Cancellation & Rescheduling Policies Within the Therapeutic Space
While our therapeutic relationship thrives on compassion, safety, and connection, open communication extends to all aspects of our work together, including fees and policies. This transparency may feel less personal than other discussions, but it's essential for ensuring a successful therapeutic journey for both of us. By openly addressing these practical matters, we can maintain a foundation of mutual respect and focus on achieving your goals in therapy.
Respecting Our Scheduled Time: Cancellation Policy
At NuSelf Hypnotherapy, we value your time and ours. To ensure the most productive use of our sessions, we have a 48-hour cancellation policy. This means all appointment changes, whether cancellations or reschedules, must be communicated by secure message through the website at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time. The full session fee will apply for cancellations or no-shows. When you provide notice by sending a secure message, the time stamp on the message will let me know that it was sent 48 hours or more in advance.
While we understand unforeseen circumstances may arise, short-notice cancellations limit our ability to offer the appointment slot to another client in need. By providing timely notice (at least 48 hours in advance), this allows me to make schedule adjustments and offer your appointment to another client seeking support. This ensures continuity of care for everyone
Open Communication for Scheduling Adjustments
If you need to make changes to upcoming appointments, please feel free to discuss this directly with me in session or via secure message. When you provide me more than 48 hours notice for canceling or rescheduling from your session start time, you will not be charged for the appointment and it will provide me notice enabling me to optimize appointments for other clients. When you provide notice by sending a secure message, the time stamp on the message will let me know that it was sent 48 hours or more in advance.
Timely Appointments Ensure Optimal Care
To ensure we can fully utilize our session time, arriving on time to the Zoom chat room and prepared for your appointment is essential. If you anticipate being late, please notify me by sending a secure message prior to your session. While I can't guarantee availability, I will do my best to adjust and accommodate the session accordingly within a brief window of 15 minutes after your scheduled start time. If you arrive later than 15 minutes, a full session fee may apply marked as a no-show or late cancellation.
Supporting You During Unexpected Emergencies
It is understandable that emergencies can be sudden and overwhelming. In the event of a true emergency within 24 hours of your appointment (e.g., sudden illness, accident), we can reschedule your session for a mutually agreeable time. While we strive to be as accommodating as possible, keeping your sessions consistent with the treatment plan is most beneficial for optimal progress.
Staying Connected: Appointment Reminders
In order to remind you of your upcoming appointment, you will receive an email reminder sent 72 and 24 hours before your next session with link provided. Lastly, we will send you another text and email reminder 1 hour before your session begins with a Zoom link for your session.
SMS Optional: Check off the option for SMS reminders during the booking process to be reminded of your next appointment.
Refund Policy
Therapy is a valuable investment in your personal growth and well-being. To ensure a successful experience, planning ahead and commitment to scheduled sessions are essential. This policy outlines how we navigate unexpected situations and maximize the benefits of therapy.
Prepaid Session Usage:
Prepaid sessions expire after one year to maintain consistent pricing and ensure appointment availability.
Sessions cannot be transferred to another person to maintain a focused therapeutic experience.
Refunds for Unused Sessions:
Decision to Terminate Therapy: A full refund will be issued for any unused prepaid sessions if you choose to discontinue therapy at this time.
Unforeseen Circumstances: We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. In such cases, please reach out to discuss options for your remaining unused sessions.
